Educational Software or Hardware Issues

This is my second time typing this blog so please bear with me... and don't even ask about autosave...

First, GradeKeeper is a program that was introduced to me my second year of teaching. It allows the all three parties, (teacher, parent, and student) to observe the grading process of assessments, homework, projects, and participation. This is a very objective program which accurately and unbiasly grade students. Even though there are now cheaper and very accessibe alternatives available. It set the idea and concept I feel that are now emulated by many.

Highly recommended.****

Secondly, Study Island is a program adopted by the district and utilized by teachers. Students are given an opportunity to gauge the knowledge on an array of subjects and topics. Teachers can print worksheets, create activities and formulate projects. The assignments can be done on any computer via internet connection. A teacher can target a student's or classes weakness while supplementing their strengths.

Very recommended.***
